Week 4 Theme: Prayers for Revival

Read: Luke 9:23-27

Reflect: The Christian life is a daily battle to loosen our grip on the life we choose for ourselves, and instead to strive after the life that God wants for us. As the New City Catechism affirms, our only hope in life and death is that we are not our own but belong to God. What parts of your life are you trying to hold on to (or chase after) as if it doesn’t belong to God? What would it look like if you let those things go and choose total devotion to Jesus instead? Pray for wisdom to discern where you need to die to your own dreams and ambitions to follow after Jesus.
