Week 1 Theme: Prayers for Personal Repentance

Read: Matt. 7:21-23

Reflect: It’s quite possible to spend your life thinking that you’re serving God, but in reality, you’re just serving yourself. In other words, it’s possible to go to church, to volunteer, to tithe, to be a part of a community group, and do all the things that Christians do—but if Jesus isn’t at the center and if he isn’t who you want most, all your Christian activity is in vain. Is your Christian life mainly about learning what it means to know, love, and serve Jesus more every day or is it about something else? Spend time in silence with Jesus today—it’s important that we learn how to sit with Jesus. (cf. Luke 10:38-42)
