Week 2 Theme: Prayers for the Church

Read: Eph. 3:1-13; Matt. 16:18-19

Reflect: Many of us tend to view the church in terms of what it offers us (i.e., a good worship experience, a good kids program, friendships, etc.), but God views the church as the instrument by which His “manifold wisdom...might now be made known” to the world (Eph. 3:10). God calls each of us to be committed to His church and to invest in it so that He can reveal Himself to the world through our collective commitment and investment. What are the ways that you’ve taken the church for granted, and how’s your commitment to it these days? Pray that God would help you to see His church through His eyes, and not your own.
