Week 2 Theme: Prayers for the Church

Read: Phil. 1:27-30

Reflect: Some Christians try to live out their faith on their own—isolated and disconnected from a spiritual community. Yet, the ability to stand firm in our faith can only come when we are standing firm side by side with others in the faith. More than that, Phil. 1:27 reminds us that one of the main ways you can tell whether or not a person truly gets the gospel is whether or not he or she is pursuing unity with others in the church. Are you pursuing unity within the church? How connected are you to your church family? Spend some time praying for wisdom on what church unity should look like and what part God calls you to play in it.
