Week 3 Theme: Prayers for Our City
Read: Jer. 29:1-7
Reflect: Most people seek to use the city for their own gain (in their career and life goals), but God calls His church to work for the city’s welfare. In other words, Christians are to seek to make the city better than how they came to it. For Christians, this means that life can’t just be about focusing on our own jobs and our own families, but we ought to be praying for and practically serving the various needs of our city. Has God given you an awareness of certain issues you should be lifting up in prayer and working to solve? Pray for the various needs of our city, and pray for wisdom on how to seek the city’s welfare.
