Week 3 Theme: Prayers for Our City

Read: Eph. 2:11-22

Reflect: In a time where the people of our city are more divided than ever as they cling to their own ideologies and simultaneously demonize others who cling to differing ideologies, the unity of the church has the greatest chance to shine bright. We need to show this city that it's only the gospel that holds the power to unite people of different races, different political affiliations, different socioeconomic upbringings and create a new community. Do you prioritize sharing life with those who are different from you? Do you value your identity in Christ more than your identity in any other thing (ethnicity, career, education, etc.)? Spend some time praying that the Church might be a beacon and image of the ministry of reconciliation amongst people from opposing sides of every spectrum.
