Redemption Serves-1.jpg

One of our hopes is that the story of Jesus would so transform us that we delight in serving the poor, orphans, marginalized, and oppressed in our city. The goal of Redemption Serves is to grow in Jesus by engaging our city. If we are to know what it means to live out our faith, we must be familiar with and close to the poor in our city. Redemption Serves is strategic partnerships with organizations in the city with whom we will consistently invest our time, talents, and treasures.

“Whoever oppresses a poor man insults his Maker, but he who is generous to the needy honors him”. - Proverbs 14:31

“Whoever is generous to the poor lends to the LORD, and he will repay him for his deed.” - Proverbs 19:17

“Then he will say to those on his left, Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.  For I was hungry and you gave me no food, I was thirsty and you gave me no drink, I was a stranger and you did not welcome me, naked and you did not clothe me, sick and in prison and you did not visit me.  Then they also will answer, saying, Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to you?  Then he will answer them, saying, Truly, I say to you, as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to me.  And these will go away into eternal punishment, but righteous into eternal life”

- Jesus in Matthew 25:41-46
